A white metal waist belt of linked construction, commonly associated with nursing uniforms from the early to mid-20th century. The belt consists of multiple decorative links featuring openwork pierced designs with scroll and foliate motifs. These links are interconnected by rectangular metal loops. The central feature is a large oval slide buckle with symmetrical chased floral and leaf decoration. On the reverse of several links is a stamped mark within multiple small cartouches. The characters read as E, P, N, and S, arranged vertically. Above these characters is a symbol resembling a six-pointed star or flower, and below is a cross-shaped device. The belt is fashioned from a white metal base with an applied silver-toned finish.
