An assortment of mid-century circular powder compacts featuring various decorative techniques and finishes. The group includes a gilt metal effect compact with a white enamel style lid decorated with a blue and gold foliate scroll pattern; a further gilt metal effect compact with a green enameled ground, heavily weathered, featuring a central raised silver and gold-toned filigree rose medallion; a white metal compact with a brushed finish and a small central floral cluster; and a gilt metal effect compact with a repeating green four-leaf clover pattern over a sunburst engine-turned ground. The reverse of the compacts show various engine-turned designs including concentric circles, stars, and waves. A partial, illegible word is visible on the reverse of the enamel-lidded compact, but the characters do not spell a maker’s name.
