A porcelain tea and soup service featuring a Rococo-revival aesthetic. The components are decorated with a vibrant pink ground, bordered by gilded scrolling cartouches and hand-coloured floral sprays including roses, pansies, and forget-me-nots. The set includes two-handled soup bowls with matching saucers, standard teacups with matching saucers, side plates, and a large square-shaped serving plate with a scalloped edge. The forms are characterised by ornate split-scroll handles and scalloped rims with heavy gilding. The base of the pieces bears a printed black mark comprising the word FOLEY above a circular device containing the initials EB and Co, further marked CHINA and ENGLISH BONE CHINA. The pattern is visually consistent with the Lady Carlyle design, though this name is not present in the markings.
