A Victorian? period wooden decanter box constructed with a honey-toned prominent grain, likely oak? or yew wood. The case is of rectangular form with a hinged, domed top and is decorated with dark-stained wood banding and applied geometric pyramidal studs to the front and side elevations. The interior is lined with a dark blue fabric, likely velvet, divided into three individual compartments. The box features brass hinges and a brass lock plate to the front. The set contains three matching clear glass decanters of square-bodied form with faceted octagonal stoppers. A brass lock plate is present to the front of the case with a central keyhole, though the internal mechanism is partially obscured and no maker marks are legible.
