A ceramic figurine of a standing donkey produced by Beswick of England. The animal is rendered in a realistic, naturalistic pose with the head slightly lowered and turned to the left. The figurine features a gloss glazed finish in shades of brown and cream, with dark brown accents highlighting the ears, mane, tail, and hooves. The underside bears a printed black backstamp with the manufacturer name BESWICK arranged in a curve above ENGLAND. Adjacent to this is a green and gold foil adhesive label printed with the text BESWICK ENGLAND. An impressed model number is present on the underbelly, partially obscured by the glaze and labels, but legible as 1188.
