The head is decorated with a red and gold scale pattern, while the body displays stylized blue and red plumage with gold-flecked detailing. The face is defined by two large, solid cobalt blue eyes outlined in gold. The base features a circular red printed mark containing a crown above a D and R monogram, surrounded by the words ROYAL CROWN DERBY and ENGLISH BONE CHINA. Below this is the Roman numeral date code LVI, indicating a production year of 1993. Additional hand-painted decorator marks include two red A characters and one green A character.
