A vintage Seiko desk alarm clock of circular gimbal form, constructed from gilt metal effect brass?. The timepiece is mounted within a dual-pivot swivel stand of modernist arched design, allowing the clock face to be tilted and rotated. The champagne-toned dial features a brushed radial finish, decorated with black Roman numeral hour markers and a railroad-style outer minute track. The hands are of open-circle ‘Pomme’ style with a slender central sweep seconds hand. The dial is printed with the brand name SEIKO at the nine o’clock position and QUARTZ at the three o’clock position, with JAPAN visible at the lower edge. The reverse of the casing features controls for time and alarm setting, alongside a textured battery compartment cover marked CLOSE and OPEN with directional arrows. The case back is further inscribed JAPAN.
