Two pieces of studio art glass. The first is a heavy, solid rectangular sculpture of clear glass featuring internal smoky-grey and black pigment suspensions that create a textured, geological effect. The block has an undulating, irregular finish on one narrow end and a ground, polished pontil mark on the base, where an illegible incised signature? or mark is present. The second item is a clear glass decanter of triple-gourd form with an overall crackle glass (craquelé) finish. It is fitted with a cork stopper topped by a bronze-tone medallion featuring a crown and the transcription GUSTAF ADOLF SVERIGES KONUNG, with the smaller symbols H and 3. The reverse of the medallion, visible through the glass, depicts the profile of King Gustaf VI Adolf. This decanter is characteristic of the work of Ture Berglund? for Stockholm Skansens Glasbruk.
