A collection of British currency comprising likely sterling silver sixpences from the early reign of Queen Victoria. Each coin features the Young Head portrait design depicting the monarch facing left with the obverse legend VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITANNIAR: REG: F: D: . The reverse of each piece displays the denomination SIX PENCE beneath a crown, enclosed within a tied wreath of oak and laurel leaves. The date of issue is struck at the base of the reverse. The group includes various dates ranging from 1839 to 1851, each with a milled edge. The coins exhibit varying degrees of surface toning and circulation wear across the set.
