A set of sterling silver coffee spoons of Art Deco design, each featuring a different coloured coffee bean terminal. The terminals are rendered in enamel or composition in shades of blue, purple, green, orange, yellow, and turquoise. The spoons are presented in a fitted black leatherette case with a cream silk and velvet interior. The interior lid bears a black and gold adhesive label for the retailer S. T. Hopper Ltd, Watchmakers & Jewellers, Sleaford. The reverse of each spoon bowl is struck with a suite of British hallmarks including the maker mark D&F ? in a quatrefoil shield for Deakin & Francis Ltd, the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor for the Birmingham Assay Office, and the Roman lowercase letter u for the year 1944.
