A collection of three contemporary porcelain art brooches created by the British ceramicist Ruth Charlton at Old Barn Studios. The first brooch features a hand-sculpted face mask of a woman with black textured hair, pale skin, blue eyes, and red lips. The second, larger brooch depicts a woman in a highly detailed turquoise and coral-toned headwrap, featuring intricate textures and soft painted facial details. The third brooch portrays a pair of cupped hands held to a face, with dark washes highlighting the sculptural depth of the fingers and palms. Each ceramic piece is hand-painted and mounted onto an artist’s printed business card which serves as the label.
