A black fur felt bowler hat of traditional stiffened construction, featuring a rounded crown and a narrow upturned brim. The exterior is trimmed with a matching black grosgrain ribbon band finished with a side bow, and the brim is edged with grosgrain binding. The interior is lined with a cream-coloured quilted fabric to the side walls and a gathered red satin-finish fabric to the crown. A tan leatherette? sweatband is fitted to the interior, featuring a white cord drawstring through metal eyelets for size adjustment. The interior crown is printed with a gilded crest and ribbons reading MOSS BROS OF COVENT GARDEN THE COMPLETE MAN’S STORE. A small yellow adhesive inventory label is attached to the exterior crown.
