A ceramic character teapot representing the character Mrs Potts from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. The vessel is of bulbous form with a glossy white glaze, featuring a spout designed to resemble a nose and a large gilded handle. The face is decorated with blue eyes, pink eyelids, and blushing cheeks, appearing to be a combination of transfer printing and hand-painted details. The lidded teapot features a scalloped lilac-coloured lid with a gilded rim and a matching lilac and blue scalloped base with a gilded foot. While the character design is iconic to the franchise, there are no maker names or factory marks visible on the body or lid. The interior shows a small dark inclusion from the firing process.
