A vintage talcum powder presentation set by the British perfumery house Dubarry. The set comprises a rectangular frosted glass bottle in a soft peach tone, featuring a moulded Art Deco sunburst or fan design radiating from one corner. The bottle is fitted with a stepped brass screw-cap and retains two gold-tone foil labels; a rectangular neck label reading THE HEART OF A ROSE and a circular label at the base reading TALCUM DUBARRY. The bottle appears to be largely full of original powder. The set is housed in its original hinged cardboard presentation box with a mottled brown shagreen effect finish. The exterior lid features a blue circular medallion with a white relief depiction of classical figures above a label reading DUBARRY’S TALCUM POWDER. The interior lid displays a polychrome illustration of a woman in an 18th-century style dress. Included is a paper leaflet titled Feminine Fastidiousness By A FAMOUS LONDON BEAUTY EDITRESS.
