The standing female figure is captured in a dynamic pose with her head tilted back, wearing a voluminous yellow gown. The dress features a white ruffled hem and is decorated with a repeating pink foliate motif. The figure has pale blue hair adorned with a cluster of modelled pink and yellow roses. The underside of the base features a black transfer-printed mark consisting of a crown surmounting a circular device containing the words ROYAL DOULTON and ENGLAND. The mark is surrounded by the text hand decorated and Hand made and. Below this, the piece is inscribed Royal Doulton, HN 2379, NINETTE, Modelled by Peggy Davies. A copyright symbol is followed by ROYAL DOULTON TABLEWARE LIMITED 1970. Small hand-painted marks in green pigment are visible to the side of the main stamp, appearing as a character resembling a g above the numerals 42. The figurine is accompanied by its original blue and gold cardboard manufacturer’s box.
