A heavy white metal belt buckle commemorating the American frontier outlaw Billy the Kid. The face features a high-relief portrait of the figure in a wide-brimmed hat and bandana, set alongside a cast replica of a reward poster and a single-action revolver. The relief decoration includes the text BILLY THE KID, $500 REWARD, and the biographical dates 1859-81. The reverse side is heavily marked with various embossed plaques and stamps. A rectangular plaque is marked Copyright Tanside Ltd. © 2006, Dragon Designs England, All Rights Reserved, www.tanside.com. An adjacent plaque reads MANUFACTURED IN THE USA, TANSIDE LTD ENGLAND. An oval mark at the upper edge is stamped TAN-383, Made in USA. A circular central mark depicts a dragon and is inscribed DRAGON DESIGNS ENGLAND. A final shaped mark features a bulldog and the text Bulldog Buckle Co 1983. The buckle is fitted with a standard iron loop and prong.
