An assortment of decorative objects comprising four Japanese? Satsuma style earthenware vases and four white composition/resin sculptures. The ceramic group include a large baluster form vase with a cobalt blue glazed neck and body, featuring two rectangular reserves decorated with polychrome enamels and gilding depicting a female figure in a garden setting. This is accompanied by a trio of ovoid vases with gilded rims, featuring reserves of bijin figures in outdoor settings, surrounded by dense floral and geometric borders in raised moriage enamels and gilding. The sculptural items consist of a horse head bust in classical style on a rectangular integral base, a seated figure of an Oriental sage or deity in a meditative pose, a neoclassical? style female bust on a circular socle, and a small figural dish featuring two putti attached to the rim. There are various illegible characters/marks to the decoration of the vases, but none are clearly legible as a maker’s name.
