A large collection of ceramic and porcelain miniature souvenir items, including thimbles, vessels, and dishes. One group consists of over one hundred thimbles, many featuring topographical transfer prints of British locations such as Snowdon, Blackpool, and Lynton. Also present is a miniature white-glazed Grand Piano? decorated with pink floral sprays and gilt metal effect accents. Other miniature forms include slippers, one featuring a map of Corfu, a red rose patterned boot, and various small-scale mugs, jugs, and bells. A further assortment of miniature plates is included, featuring fluted rims with gilt metal effect borders and transfer-printed scenes of the Isle of Wight, Boston Park, and regional maps. Marks present include a blue printed backstamp on a shell dish reading LIVERPOOL RD POTTERY, FINE BONE CHINA, MADE IN ENGLAND, REG DESIGN No. 928553. A miniature slipper is marked MADE IN U.S.A. Several other items bear partial or illegible printed marks to the undersides. The collection is housed in two purple Quality Street? metal tins and a white cardboard tray containing black plastic plate stands.
