A collection of three garden or interior decorative ornaments, constructed from a light-coloured reconstituted stone? or composite material with a matte, biscuit-like finish. The grouping includes a winged cherub or putto figure posed in a seated position atop a large, textured sphere with a circular pedestal base. Also included is a pair of matching figurines depicting young children seated in a crouching posture, each with a headband and shown reading an open book. These reading figures are set upon tiered circular bases. The surfaces show varied textures, from the granular finish of the sphere to the smoother cast of the figures. The figures exhibit no visible makers’ marks or signatures. A yellow adhesive price label is present on the book held by one figure, reading 7.50.
