The unit is housed in a ruggedised olive drab metal enclosure featuring a prominent vertical heat sink to the left side and mounting rails to the top and sides for vehicle installation. The front control panel incorporates two large rotary frequency tuning dials with fold-down handles, two mechanical digital frequency displays currently showing 355 and 316, and a central analogue signal meter. Additional controls include smaller rotary selector switches for power levels at 8V, 28V, and 24V, SWR, and impedance settings marked with the Greek symbol Omega. The faceplate is fitted with multiple BNC/coaxial ports, several of which retain their original protective metal caps on retaining wires. The lower edge of the unit features several printed and stamped labels including an adhesive strip reading RADIO FREQUENCY HEAD BAND I and another stating N.S.N. No 5820-99-643-7511. The main manufacturer label displays the ANT logo followed by UK/TRC 471 Band I, Vers.-Nr. 5820-99-643-7511, and a factory number plate reading Fabr.-Nr. 6371590. A further serial plate reads Serien-Nr./A 4528148.
