A collection of monochrome and hand-tinted silver gelatin on glass lantern slides, primarily depicting topographical and architectural subjects from the United Kingdom and Europe. The slides are contained within an indexed wooden storage box with a paper-lined lid featuring a numbered grid from 1 to 100, alongside a secondary cardboard storage box. The slides are individually finished with black protective paper tape borders, with some featuring red, yellow, or blue tape for categorisation. Many slides bear hand-written white paper labels on their top edges, identifying locations including Lynmouth, Exeter Cathedral, Lyminge, Sandown Pier, and Worcester. Several slides are hand-coloured, and one example in the cardboard box is numbered 103. The subjects include architectural details such as spandrils, capitals, and tombs, as well as scenic river views and coastal landscapes.
