An assortment of vintage security hardware, primarily of British manufacture, comprising various padlock styles including lever, cylinder, and close-shackle types. The collection is constructed from brass and steel, with some examples featuring protective blue or green plastic coatings to the bodies. Several brass locks bear the vertically stamped mark ABLOY, with one additionally marked 3042 and another B 8. Two brass padlocks are stamped CHUBB. A large white metal padlock features a keyhole cover marked ERA and the body is stamped INSURANCE below a circular logo containing the letters BS. A further large brass padlock is marked with a stylized large S, and one white metal lock is stamped HARDENED on the shackle. A small brass lock features a circular mark with the text MADE IN ENGLAND surrounding a central anchor motif. Many locks are accompanied by keys, some of which are attached via wire or metal rings.
