A collection of UK and world base metal coins and tokens, primarily comprising copper-coloured, brass-toned, and cupro-nickel alloys. The assembly includes a large UK bronze penny from the reign of George VI, featuring the obverse inscription GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP:. Numerous Irish decimal and pre-decimal coins are present, including examples featuring the barnacle goose design. European denominations are represented by a Polish 50 groszy piece and various other twentieth-century circulated issues. Also included is a small brass-toned advertising token featuring a bird motif, likely for Guinness. The coins exhibit varying degrees of circulation wear, surface oxidation, and verdigris consistent with an unsorted lot. Inscriptions are present in multiple languages including English, Latin, and Polish.
