A pair of Scottish-themed costume jewellery brooches constructed from white metal with an antiqued finish. The first brooch is of circular openwork form, featuring cast thistles and foliate leaves surrounding a central boss set with a large amber-coloured faceted paste stone, further encircled by six smaller matching stones. The second brooch depicts two crossed claymore swords behind a central circular targe shield, the shield set with a large pink faceted paste stone featuring a yellow foil backing and a patterned border. The circular brooch is fitted with a pin and C-clasp, while the sword brooch features a longer pin with a revolving safety clasp. The reverse of the sword brooch exhibits a textured, pitted cast finish.
