An Edwardian mahogany? side chair pair featuring arched crest rails decorated with satinwood shell marquetry and foliate scrollwork. The backrests consist of four slender vertical rails flanking a central splat embellished with an inlaid neoclassical urn and scrolling vine motif. The frames are constructed with boxwood stringing throughout and supported by square tapered front legs terminating in spade feet. The over-stuffed seats are upholstered in a yellow floral damask fabric finished with corded trim. The timber frames show general surface wear including scuffs and minor indentations.
