A collection of United Kingdom Brilliant Uncirculated coins issued by the Royal Mint for the year 1986. The set includes a commemorative two-pound coin struck in cupro-nickel to mark the XIII Commonwealth Games in Scotland, featuring a central thistle design within a laurel wreath. The accompanying decimal coins comprise the one penny, two pence, five pence, ten pence, twenty pence, and fifty pence denominations, alongside a one-pound coin. The pieces are presented in a white card folder which contains detailed technical specifications for each coin. The folder is housed within a cream-coloured outer slipcase which is printed with the Royal Mint emblem and the title UNITED KINGDOM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED COIN COLLECTION 1986. The reverse of the coins feature standard decimal designs including the crowned portcullis, the Prince of Wales’s feathers, and the seated figure of Britannia. The interior of the folder is marked with the words REVERSE and Royal Mint.
