The set contains eight cupro-nickel crowns issued between 1953 and 1990, comprising the 1953 Coronation, 1960 British Exhibition, 1965 Churchill memorial, 1972 Silver Wedding, 1977 Silver Jubilee, 1980 Queen Mother 80th Birthday, 1981 Royal Wedding, and 1990 Queen Mother 90th Birthday issues. The 1990 coin carries a face value of five pounds, while earlier issues hold a value of twenty-five pence or five shillings. The folder features a photograph of the Imperial State Crown and is printed with the title Queen Elizabeth II Crown Collection 1953 – 1990. A separate descriptive insert card is included, providing technical specifications for each coin. The reverse of the folder displays a printed blue logo reading ROYAL MINT above the address Llantrisant, Pontyclun, Mid Glamorgan CF7 8YT and the text Crown Copyright 1991.
