The piece features a kidney-shaped top with a raised crescent-form guard at one end, finished in a dark forest green paint. The structure is supported by four out-swept legs which cross and are joined beneath the seat. The frame is finished with a dark ebonised? stain throughout. The design is characteristic of early 20th-century Viennese bentwood production.
