The stand features three circular graduated shelves, each decorated with intricate pierced scrollwork and foliate borders. The central panel of each tier depicts a detailed embossed motif of a long-tailed bird, described as a peacock?, within a naturalistic setting. The shelves are mounted on three vertical rods with decorative turned collars and finished with spherical ball finials. The whole is supported by three out-swept, scrolled legs featuring acanthus leaf detailing at the shoulders. The metal surfaces display a natural aged patina with visible oxidation and tarnish within the cast ornamentation.
