A framed commemorative collection of United Kingdom pre-decimal coinage issued in 1967. The assembly is housed within a dark-toned wooden frame featuring a gilt metal effect inner fillet and a deep purple matting. The collection comprises four uncirculated coins: a white metal sixpence, a bronze one penny, a bronze halfpenny, and a yellow-toned nickel-brass threepence. The matting is printed with the text A SPECIAL YEAR A collection of coins minted in 1967 in a gold-toned serif and script typeface. The lower right corner of the mat bears the printed inscription © COINAGE DESIGN 2005. The reverse of the coins are displayed, showing the denominations and the 1967 date. The sixpence features a floral design, the penny depicts a seated Britannia, the halfpenny shows a three-masted ship, and the dodecagonal threepence displays a crowned portcullis.
