A Beswick glazed ceramic figurine from the Promenade Pets series, titled Christopher. The piece depicts a standing pig in an anthropomorphic pose, playing an acoustic guitar. The figure features a black and white coat with a pale pink snout and a yellow neckerchief, finished in a high-gloss glaze. The pig is modelled with a black bow tie and holds a brown-toned acoustic guitar with black detailing. The integral base is modelled as a textured, grassy mound in green and brown tones. The underside of the base bears a black printed mark reading BESWICK above a circular crest containing a large letter B and the word ENGLAND. Below the crest are the characters PP9 and the name CHRISTOPHER. An incised number 3 is also visible to the ceramic base.
