A mahogany? perpetual desk calendar of large rectangular form with moulded ends. The piece features three decoratively shaped apertures displaying the day, date and month in bold black block lettering on cream-coloured paper scrolls. The internal mechanism is controlled by twelve turned wooden adjusting knobs, six situated along the upper edge and six along the lower edge. The central date display is oriented perpendicularly to the flanking day and month windows. The case is finished in a dark stain and appears suitable for wall mounting or desk display. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the case or scrolling ground.
