A print on paper of three-quarter portrait form depicting Jesus Christ wearing the Crown of Thorns, traditionally known as ‘Ecce Homo’. The figure is rendered with dark, wavy hair and a short beard, gazing upwards against a soft blue-green background. A radiant halo of golden rays emanates from behind the head, and the subject is draped in a deep maroon garment. The print is housed behind glass within a wide, bevelled cream-coloured mount and an ornate gilt-effect frame featuring gadrooned and foliate decorative mouldings. A vertical signature is painted in the lower right corner reading ‘Cetter’.
