A Beswick glazed ceramic figurine of a standing mallard duck, model number 902. The piece is rendered as a naturalistic drake in a standing pose with its head turned back over its shoulder. The decoration includes a dark green iridescent-style glaze to the head, a white neck ring, a brown speckled breast, and blue and black wing feathers, set upon an integral white hexagonal base. The underside of the base is incised with the characters MADE IN ENGLAND in a semi-circle above the model number 902. Additionally, a circular black ink stamp is present, reading BESWICK in an upward arc and ENGLAND in a downward arc, separated by two small dots.
