A collection of five traditional hand-plaited straw ornaments, comprising various folk art forms including corn dollies of British? or Scandinavian? origin. The set features a large multi-tiered spiral bell decorated with a red ribbon, a conical spiraled lantern with a hanging loop and terminal wheat heads accented by a brown ribbon, and a textured pinecone-shaped ornament with red ribbon bows. Also included are a long continuous spiral-plaited rod with a hooked handle and a smaller version of the spiraled bell form. Each item is constructed from natural wheat? straw using intricate spiral-plaiting techniques, finished with simple textile ribbon ties.
