A collection of cast brass door knockers comprising a Scottish bagpiper and a Peerless beehive example. The larger knocker is modelled as a Highland bagpiper in traditional dress, featuring a kilt, sporran, and bagpipes. The figure is hinged at the head to act as a hammer against the shaped backplate. The smaller knocker depicts a traditional wicker skep beehive surrounded by stylized bees and foliage, with a top hinge loop. The beehive knocker bears the incised mark PEERLESS vertically on the right-hand side of the base. Both pieces feature an aged dark patina with recessed details.
