A modern African? carved stone bust of a female figure, fashioned in the Shona tradition. The sculpture is rendered in a dark, likely serpentine? / soapstone? stone, featuring a high-gloss polished finish to the skin and a contrasting, silvery-grey textured surface to the hair. The figure is depicted with stylised facial features and a carved, tiered necklace above a bare torso with prominent breasts. The sculpture tapers down to an integral, unpolished block base.
