A collection of seven framed limited edition colour prints by the artist Margaret Clarkson, executed in a nostalgic and humorous style depicting Northern English genre scenes. The grouping includes one large street scene outside Brown’s Hardware, a panoramic whimsical depiction of monks outside Ye Olde Tavern, and various smaller studies of domestic and backyard life. The prints are housed in uniform dark wood frames with gilt-finish inner slips and tan double mounts. Each print bears the artist’s signature Margaret Clarkson in pencil to the lower right margin, alongside the hand-written edition number 102/500. Several examples feature hand-written titles in pencil including DRIPPING, WAITING, and SWINGING. A printed signature Margaret Clarkson is also visible within the image of the panoramic Tavern scene.
