A collection of glazed porcelain and bisque ceramic figurines featuring various animal and human subjects. The group includes a tall Spanish porcelain clown dressed in a white suit with red, blue, and yellow polka dots, and a large shaggy grey and brown dog. Among the other pieces are a white glazed cat with applied purple floral decoration, a white rabbit with orange spots, and a beige poodle on a green textured base. The collection also contains a large teddy bear bank or nightlight under a pink polka-dot blanket, an elephant with a rider, and a globular figure of a child’s face. Several smaller animal studies are present, including dogs in various glazes. The bases of the small tan and white dog figurines bear a blue printed mark featuring a stylised tulip above the text LLADRO and HAND MADE IN SPAIN. Other marks on smaller pieces are not clearly legible.
