A late 19th or early 20th-century repeating carriage clock. The clock features a mechanical eight-day movement with a platform lever escapement visible through the top glass panel. It is housed in a brass Corniche style case with five bevelled glass panels and a swinging brass handle. The white enamel dial features Roman numeral hour markers, an outer minute track, and blued steel Breguet-style hands. The dial is inscribed Hampson, Newmarket, representing the retailer or maker. The clock is a striking and repeating model with a repeat button located on the top of the case and a gong to the rear of the movement. A winding key is included.
