A pair of 10ct yellow gold stud earrings of modernist design. Each earring is set with a central pear-cut garnet? of deep brownish-red colour, secured within a three-prong setting. The gemstones are surrounded by an open teardrop-shaped border featuring a textured, ridged finish to the front face. The earrings are constructed with a solid gold frame, with the textured border tapering towards a point at the base. The garnet? stones exhibit a dark saturation and are faceted to enhance light reflection. The earrings are fitted with posts for pierced ears and include matching butterfly scroll backs. The post fittings are positioned towards the top of the teardrop form. The reverse of the settings and the butterfly scrolls are stamped 10K.
