A novelty earthenware teapot produced by Swineside Ceramics of England, designed in the form of a cuckoo clock. The piece features elaborate relief-molded decoration throughout, finished in a polychrome majolica-style glaze. The design incorporates green vine leaves, clusters of reddish-pink grapes, and birds in pink and brown tones set against a buff-coloured background textured to resemble wood. The form includes pendant pinecone weights and a central clock face with white Roman numerals on a black background. The teapot is fitted with an integrated quartz clock movement. The base is embossed with the maker mark SWINESIDE CERAMICS ENGLAND and features the handwritten decorator initials TB in brown ink.
