A Victorian sterling silver sauce ladle in the Kings pattern, featuring a deep circular bowl and a heavily decorated handle with ornate scrolled borders and shell-motif terminals. The handle terminal is engraved with a script monogram JMS to the front. The reverse of the handle bears a clear set of British hallmarks, including the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor for the Birmingham Assay Office, and the lowercase date letter v for 1895. The maker mark G&S identifies the piece as being produced by the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co.
