A patinated cast metal figurine of a badger, produced in the tradition of Austrian Vienna Bronzes. The animal is depicted in a naturalistic, slightly forward-leaning pose with a heavily textured surface cast to simulate fur. The underside of the belly features two rows of incised stamps? reading AUSTRIA and GES. GESCH., the latter being an abbreviation for Gesetzlich Geschützt.
