A hand-knotted Persian rug featuring an all-over repeating pattern of stylized vases and floral sprays on an ivory field. The symmetrical blossoms are rendered in shades of terracotta, rose, indigo blue, and ochre. This central area is enclosed by a wide navy primary border decorated with a continuous floral and vine-leaf scroll, flanked by inner and outer guard borders with repeating geometric-floral motifs. The rug is constructed with a wool pile on a cotton foundation.
