This lot comprises two sculptures produced by Genesis Fine Arts of Mullingar, Ireland. The primary piece is a study of a saddled horse standing in a stationary pose on an integral oval plinth. The second, smaller work depicts a mare recumbent on a textured, naturalistic base with a young foal standing beside her. Both pieces are rendered in a realistic style with anatomical detailing and exhibit a dark brown patina with polished highlights on the raised surfaces. The underside of the mare and foal base retains a partial gold foil manufacturer label reading Genesis Fine Arts, Mullingar, Ireland. The standing horse base features an impressed manufacturer mark to the underside reading Genesis Fine Arts Co.
