A Lladró glazed porcelain figurine titled Practice Makes Perfect (Spanish title: Muchacha Al Piano), model number 5462. This decorative piece depicts a young girl in a blue sleeveless bodice and a pale pink floral-patterned skirt, seated on a padded stool while playing an upright piano. The piano is detailed with two candle-holders containing white candles and is topped with a vase of hand-applied delicate porcelain flowers. The scene is set on a hexagonal base featuring a grey and white chequered tile pattern. This model was sculpted by José Puche, issued in 1988, and retired in 1993. The base features a blue printed Lladró backstamp with Hand Made in Spain and © DAISA 1987. Impressed and incised marks include the model number 5462, a square symbol containing a V, the alphanumeric code I-9 G, and a small bell-shaped symbol.
