The smaller dish depicts a youth or young woman looking downward, wearing a plum-coloured doublet with a white ruff collar and a decorative cap with gold banding. The painting is detailed, showing fine brushwork in the facial features and fabric textures. The base of one dish features an impressed BB mark.
