A late 19th or early 20th-century ethnographic polychrome cold-painted terracotta figurine produced by the Bernhard Bloch factory in Eichwald, Bohemia. The figurine is naturalistically modelled, depicting a woman with dark skin and curly black hair. She is dressed in a green short-sleeved top, a brown striped skirt, and a patterned waist cloth. The figure is posed carrying a large, shallow, woven-textured basket to the front and a rectangular basket on her back, which is secured by a strap across her forehead. She stands on a textured, earth-like integral base. The underside of the base features the incised factory mark BB for Bernhard Bloch, alongside the factory model number 894 and the initials W J.
