She is portrayed in a moment of repose, holding a white teacup and saucer in her hands. The base bears the standard Royal Doulton green backstamp, which includes a lion atop a crown symbol encircled by MADE IN ENGLAND ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND. Below the backstamp, the following text is printed in black: The Cup of Tea, H.N. 2322, COPR 1963, DOULTON & CO LIMITED, Rd No 911642, Rd No 45001, Rd No 9568, and Rd No 449/63. There is also a small, unidentified black decorator mark near the circular vent hole.
